"Did Your Website Get Banned By Accident?"

Lets look at 3 myths that others are trying to teach.

• You'll get penalized or banned from Google if a "link farm" is linking to your website - This is not true.

• Your website will get penalized if unrelated websites are linking to you - This is not true.

• Google does not display PR1 websites in their backlink list so Page Rank 1 websites won't help you - This is not true.

None of the above statements are true because:

If any of those 3 myths could actually penalize your website, how many people do you think would simply add their competitor's websites to link farm websites, unrelated websites, and low PR websites? Quite a few would do that to drag you down from your high page rank.

To get penalized by offpage optimization it would have to be YOU who linked out to bad neighbors.

Bad Neighors Are:

• Link Farms

• Penalized websites (websites that are "gray barred" by Google)

Is that an easy thing to stay away From? No it is not.

Here is an example: I have a website and exchanged links with your website. Both of our websites are of good quality. They are related websites. We both have a Google Page Rank of 5 for our sites when we exchanged links. This is an ideal link trade.

Several months pass, and in the meantime, I am trying to do all kinds of black hat SEO tricks.

Black Hat SEO is the things that will get you banned by the search engines. We talked about some of these SEO tricks in lesson one.

I am not in Google's index of websites. I can not be found in Google. So what does that mean to you? It 's not your website. should you care?

Yes you should care. You're still linking to my website, which is now a bad neighbor and you will get penalized for linking to me. Even if you don't do anything differently to your own website. How many of your links have become bad neighbors?

Your search position will drop like a rock along with your bad neighbours even though you didn't making any changes to your website.

Is There Any Good News?

Yes there is good news. In lesson one I told you about one of the tools I use. It's program called SEO ELITE.

You can use SEO ELITE to see how many of your links have become bad neighbors. You can find the link quickly and delete their link immediately. This is how you can protect your page rank to be ready when Google re-crawls and indexes your updated pages.

Let's see how this is done:

• Open up SEO Elite

• Select project type #4, "Verify that link partners are still linking back."

• Enter one of your link pages into the textbox

• Select Google PR from the checkboxes and click "ok"

SEO Elite will then visit each website that you are linking to and will tell you whether or not they could be a possible "bad neighbor".

Let's see how this is done:

Once SEO Elite has completed processing, click the report view tab and look at the column labeled Google PR.

If you see websites with a Google Page Rank of 0, this means they may have been banned by Google. It could also mean it is new site like the site you are readuing right now. A new website does not have any Page Rank because it hasn't been indexed by Google yet.

Now select project 6 within SEO Elite. This project will show you if the website is still in Google's index. Next you should enter all the PR0 websites into the textbox, select the Google checkbox, and click "ok", as the example below shows:

You should remove their link immediately if Google returns 0 results for the website, because they are now a bad neighbour.

It would surprise you to know the number of websites that have no idea why they aren't ranking well, when they've done all the good SEO things I am teaching. If your site is well optimized with good link partners and you're still not ranking well, you might be linking out to a penalized and/or banned website.

Let's talk about something EXTREMELY important to your Page Rank.

If your website is new and is not ranked yet, you need to get other websites to link to you. Whether that is trading links or getting other sites to link to you without you linking back(one way links). Getting plenty of good links is critical to your success.

You may hear someone say that trading links will no longer help you increase your page rank. They say only one way links work. DO NOT listen to those people. One way links are better but if your website is new, the fastest way to get links is to "trade links" with other websites.

When your website is older and has more credibility, you can try to get one way links and other ways obtain links that I will be teaching you in later lessons. In the beginning, trading links is the fastest way to build your page rank and get your site indexed. Good links get your site indexed by the search engines quickly becuase the spiders follow these links and find your site.

If you're trading links with other websites or if you get other sites to link to you without linking back(one way links), both will help you increase your website's page rank. Page rank is one of many factors in helping you increase your success, it is also a factor of credibility with your customers and website visitors. It also gets Google to visit your website more frequently.

The more often Google visits your website, the faster Google and other search engines will "re-rank" your website as you add new content and make minor improvments. If you have a low page rank Google won't visit your website very often, which also means you might have to wait for months before Google will "re-rank" your website, based on any new content or other changes you have made to your site.

You need links Now
Trading links can take lot of time. It's one of the easiest ways to increase your Google Page Rank and get Google to your site more frequently.It is slow hard work if you do it manually.

There is a fast way to get links
There is a free website that really speeds up the process of trading links. This is fastest way to get link partners. This is what you need when your website is brand new.

Each member of the website has a rating. The rating will tell you how many link exchange requests they have gotten, as and how many of the link exchange requests they have exchanged links with.

Now, exchange links with the websites with good ratings and you' will get a response! All of the contacting of websites is done through this website, so you'll not get in trouble for email spam.

Did you notice the website above has had 26 link exchange requests and has completed 24 of them. They would be a good website to exchange links with.

You should be able to easily get 100s of reciprocal links in less than a week, if you work at it.

This website has been around for several years and has built up a VERY large number of members that are all very active with exchanging links. At this time, I believe there are about 50,000 websites listed. That is more than enough for you to exchange with. The best part is, it's free. You should take advantage of it while it lasts.
